People call them different things โ album, carousel, slideshow, or just "the post with multiple pictures." They're all the same feature: a single Instagram post holding up to 20 photos and videos you swipe through. Here's how to save all of it at once.
Album vs. carousel โ what's the difference?
Nothing. Instagram's official name is a carousel post; most people say album. If you're looking for a way to save "an Instagram album," a carousel downloader is exactly what you need.
Step 1 โ Copy the album's link
Open the post in Instagram (you'll see small dots underneath indicating multiple slides). Tap the three dots (โขโขโข) at the top right, then Copy link.
Step 2 โ Paste it into ClipStash
Go to clipstash.app/carousel and paste the link into the box. No sign-up, no app.
Step 3 โ Download every photo and video
Press Download. ClipStash reads the entire album and hands back a separate download button for each slide. Save all of them, or just the two or three you actually want.
Good to know
- Mixed media works. Albums often combine photos and video clips โ each downloads in its native format (JPG or MP4) at full quality.
- Up to 20 slides. That's Instagram's own limit per post, and ClipStash handles the full set.
- Nothing is re-compressed. You get the same files the creator uploaded.

Only public albums can be saved. Downloads are for personal use โ always get permission before reposting someone else's photos.
