Carousels โ those swipeable Instagram posts with multiple photos and videos โ are annoying to save on an iPhone. Screenshotting each slide loses quality, and the Instagram app won't let you download them at all. ClipStash pulls every slide at full quality right in Safari.
Step 1 โ Copy the carousel link
Open the carousel post in the Instagram app (you'll see little dots under it showing multiple slides). Tap the three dots (โขโขโข) at the top of the post, then tap โCopy link.โ
Step 2 โ Open ClipStash in Safari
Go to clipstash.app/carousel. There's no sign-up screen โ the paste box is right there.
Step 3 โ Paste and download
Tap the box, paste the link, then tap Download. ClipStash reads the entire post and gives you a separate download button for every slide โ photos and videos alike.
Step 4 โ Save the slides to your iPhone
Tap each slide's download button and choose โDownload Linked File.โ They land in your Files app under Downloads. To move a photo or video into your Camera Roll, open it in Files, tap Share โ Save Image (or Save Video).
Why not just screenshot each slide?
- Screenshots lose quality โ you capture your screen, not the original file, and you get the interface in the frame.
- Screenshots can't capture video slides โ carousels often mix photos and clips.
- ClipStash gives the originals โ full resolution, nothing re-compressed.
Only public carousels can be saved โ private accounts aren't accessible. Save posts for personal use and get permission before reposting someone else's work.
