You don't need a third-party app to save a YouTube video to your phone. ClipStash works right inside Safari or Chrome — paste the link, tap download, done. Here's the full process for both iPhone and Android.
Step 1 — Copy the video link
In the YouTube app, tap Share under the video, then “Copy link.” On desktop or mobile web, just copy the address bar URL.
Step 2 — Open ClipStash
Go to clipstash.app/youtube in your browser. No sign-up screen, no account.
Step 3 — Paste and download
Paste the link and tap Download. ClipStash fetches the video in its original quality.
On iPhone
The file saves to your Files app. To move it into your Camera Roll, open it and tap Share → Save Video.
On Android
The video drops straight into your Downloads folder and usually shows up in your Gallery automatically.

ClipStash also handles YouTube Shorts and can pull just the audio track as MP3, each on its own page.
Only public videos can be saved. Downloads are for personal use — always respect the creator's rights before re-sharing.
